What is Yoga?

The word yoga in Sanskrit means ‘to yoke’ or to ‘have union’. In yoga we use the breath and our postures to unite the body with the mind, the heart and the spirit. For a more detailed explanation click here

What do I need to bring to class?

A water bottle and your smile. Mats and props available at the studio. Please let your teacher know if you have any injuries, illnesses or pain before each class.

How long does the class go for?

75 minutes. Please arrive 5 minutes before class begins.

What are the benefits of Yoga?

Yoga supports a healthy and happy lifestyle.  Yoga relaxes your nervous system, assists focus, improves your balance, releases tension, helps you sleep deeper, and boosts your immune system.

Yoga improves your flexibility, builds muscle strength, perfects your posture, prevents cartilage and joint breakdown, reduces back pain, betters your bone health, increases your blood flow, ups your heart rate, drops your blood pressure, and regulates your blood sugar.

What is Meditation?

Meditation is a practice that involves turning the mind and attention inward and focusing on a single point. eg. breath, thought or object. Meditation is paying attention with short moments of awareness and assists in making friends with the mind.
